AEDSNN, Jinotega, C.A.,
Campamento 'Las Cuchillas', 30 April
1930
Sra Maria de Altamirano,
Campamento 'El Consuelo'
I have the pleasure to
write you now, wishing that when this
letter reaches you you are enjoying good
health in company with all the family.
We are all well without any trouble. I
send you with the bearer, Maximo
Granados, the following: some relics of
Saints and some scapularies, the
scapularies are seven (7); 10 medals and
a pair of small combs for Gabina
[Victorina], which Chano [Encarnacion]
is sending for her. The medals and the
scapularies are to be distributed among
the family. I also send you a cheese and
a cake. Chano sends you a towel to be
kept in a wardrobe. Receive many regards
from Pedro and Chano, also from me.
Montenegro sends a dressing-gown for
Melecio, and Pedro Ramon sends a hat to
be kept. I also send you C$70 to be kept
or for the urgent needs you might have.
I send for Melecio 4 cartridges cal. 44.
Even though I tell you in this letter
that I am sending you C$70, they are not
seventy but C$150. I told you 70 by
mistake.
This money is on
account of the amount detailed as a
contribution from Senor Juan Palacios,
he still owes the sum of C$150. Don't
make a mistake as it is a bill of C$100
and the other one is a C$50 bill. In
this letter I tell you that I am sending
you all of this with Lieut. Granados,
but that is not true, I am sending you
all of this with the compañero Avelino
Rodriguez. We repeat our regards, and
Montenegro, Morales, and Rizo send their
regards for all the family.
That is all I say
and I wish you every kind of happiness,
meanwhile I can go there to help you
out. Yours,
Patria y Libertad /s/
Pedro Altamirano.
P.D.
If you get a chance to buy some pistol
ammunition, give Chon or Melecio C$50 to
buy them. Vale.
