Camp
of the Union of Telpaneca.
[Campamento de la "Unión" de Telpaneca]
To the Chief of Police, Sargent Major
Francisco Galeano.
I received your
communication and I understand what you
say in regard to the boys who were sent
to you, now they are back here and I
have my force is complete.
Thanks to God I had no
wounded men, but the enemy had three
dead and one seriously wounded. The
wounded was sent to Condega yesterday.
La Guardia entered Somoto,
and it is possible that Gen. Ortez had
atacked Somoto, as last night bombs were
heard in that direction, one runner came
with letters and said that the fire was
heard in that direction.
Another runner said that he
heard fire in the direction of
Guanacastillo.
In these days and nights
people say that in Palacagüina fire was
heard in the direction of Darailí and
bomb explosions.
Please come in the
morning so we can get divided.
Patria y Libertad,
(s) Coronel Fulgencio Hernández Báez
