El Chipote. August 25, 1927
To Sr. Alcalde Muncipal Timoteo García,
San Juan de Segovia.
Dear Friend:
From your note of the 24th instant I am informed of the
routes taken by the bandits and I am very happy because of
your great activity. I notify you that very soon I will send
my cavalries in persecution of these bands until they fall
in our hands and we apply the punishment that they deserve.
I have also received the communications from Darailí
and I am sending you a little note so that you in turn make
it reach its destination. Our activities at these moments
are always deserving of the greatest compliments, and in a
very short time our adversaries will see and feel the rude
blows of our patriot labors.
Do not be dismayed but on the contrary, fill your chest with
patriotic ardor and let us await the developments that will
come from my communications. Do not be surprised at
anything. Watch, that God and our country will reward you
because divine and terrestrial justice are on our side, as
you will see very soon our airships at the latest in a few
months, really a very short time.
In the meantime let us watch for the supreme hour of
felicity of our beloved Nicaragua because her noble sons
will heal her barbarous wounds given by the traitors and
Yankee Filibusters. Patience and faith and triumph.
Your friend and companion salutes you.
Patria y Libertad
/s/ A. C. Sandino
