Dear Friend:

The note that I attach is for you to send to Quilalí today if possible. The runner whom I send should go mounted because it is urgent that it reach the General. I received what you sent me. If there is any rifle already fixed send it to me, the same as the bugle and send me two glasses of Fellows Syrup. Today the communication from here to San Fernando was installed and in a telegram of today they tell us that in the battle of Ocotal several Machos and Constabularies died and there were many wounded. That note should be sent today, it is very important.
