General Echeverría,

Last night I sent 20 men at the command of Colonel Irías so that if the Machos or Cachos are in Murra, they will try to take the heights and not leave them get out while the reinforcements of 30 men arrive with a machine gun, which I will send today at 8 am by way of Las Flores which is the road where Salgado is. Tell Pérez and Salgado to get ready immediately to go out with Fernando Maradiaga, Quintero, and his father. I will come there to send the patrol from there. I am leaving now. I hope that God will will that they are machos to have the satisfaction of shitting on them because it is certain that they are confident and cocky because nothing has been done to them but now they will be victims in these mountains because even if the men should run I am sufficient with ten men who have patriot blood. Triumph is ours.
