Summary & Notes:

This is the incident that prompted Sandino to go
into a five-year exile from Western Nicaragua --
first to the Caribbean coast, then to Honduras &
Guatemala and thence to Tampico, Mexico, where
he worked in the oil fields until his return to
Nicaragua in May 1926.
