Estimado compañero.

En el camino encontre a Don Antonio López, y el me dice que para hacer las letras y los número, no hay necesidad de los grandes que no tiene alli, y que el los hara con cinceles menudos el trabajo que Ud ve en esta carta. El Sr. López es de toda mi confianza y por lo mismo trátelo como a mi mismo.

"General Echeverria:-  My dear companion:   In the road I met Mr. Antonio Lopez, and he tells me that in order to make the letters and numbers, there is no necessity of the big figures which you have there and that he will make them with chisels.  Mr. Lopez deserves all my confidence and therefore, treat him as if it were I.  Country and Liberty, A. C. Sandino.  P.S.  Send me the bombs that you may have ready so that Colonel Sanchez may carry them all."
