General Manuel Echeverría, Camp No. 6.
General Echeverría.
I have already received notice from the boys and they say
that they did not attack at 7 as ordered because they were
in search of some people they had told them about. They got
there at 7 in the morning and at that time the battle began
and it lasted only four hours. We had no casualties, only
one slightly wounded in the leg. I have already given orders
to reconcentrate here for rest. Send me the paper I sent for
you to copy, the manifesto where we say that only to a
Liberal government will we surrender our arms. I have an
idea and I want to take advantage of it.
